Angus Evans

A 22 Year Old actor from the Sutherland Shire, NSW. Having trained in a Bachelor of Performance, Angus is a charismatic transformational actor for both Screen and Stage. He is also an avid film-maker, having been in, directed, written and produced over 20 short films.

Angus played Brendan, the dim-witted, trigger happy Northern Irish terrorist out to kill Mad Padraic for no other reason than his boss told him to. Directed by Deborah Mulhall for New Theatre (2018).

The premiere of a new Australian play, exploring Stanley Milgram's unethical shock-box experiments in the 1960's. Angus played Thomas, a naive young actor, hopelessly in love with a girl who doesn't love him back and blissfully unaware of the effects of the experiments. Directed by Paul Gilchrist for subtlenuance at the Blood Moon Theatre (2018).

A Contemporary American family drama that depicts five generations of the one family across 80 years in a restaurant in the midwest. Angus played multiple members of the family in their childhood; Robbie, the taunting older brother showered with praise, Sammy, every parents worst nightmare and Matthew, a sweet new hope for the future. Directed by Julie Baz for The Depot Theatre (2017).

Helen Edmundson's stage adaptation of the epic Russian classic by Leo Tolstoy. Angus played the co-protagonist, Levin, an idealistic man searching for meaning in his life, suffering rejection from the woman he loves, grieving the death of his brother and discovering purpose through faith in God, love and hard work. Directed by David Fenton for AADA (2016).

Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare

Shakespeare's classic gender-bender comedy opened at the Pilgrim Theatre on Pitt Street and toured throughout Western Sydney. Angus played Sir Toby, a raucous drunk, intent on causing mischief and picking fights wherever he goes, but with a tender soft spot and a big heart beneath. Directed by Peta Downes for AADA (2016).

A Contemporary Australian Drama based on the real life murder of Leigh Leigh Mears in 1989 at Stockton, New South Wales. Angus played the lead role of Jared, a seventeen year old surfer who witnesses his mates rape a teenage girl and remains silent, destroying his relationship with his friends and family. Directed by Kim Hardwick for AADA (2015).
